Jesus. The Christ. God's ultimate sacrificial lamb. He willingly came to earth as fully God and fully Man. He willingly made the ultimate sacrifice-death on a cross, the most humiliating kind of execution-so that we who believe in Him may have eternal life. What a wonderful Savior we have! How long have you known Jesus? Perhaps you grew up in a church, attending every Sunday with your family. Maybe you came to know Him later in life. You may have been a teenager whose friends invited you to go with them or an adult when you met Jesus. Maybe you wandered away for awhile and then came back. What is important is your relationship with Him now. How does Jesus communicate with us? He may speak through scriptures in the Holy Bible or something someone else has written. He may send an animal or beautiful scenery, the song of a bird, the scent of a flower, or the voice of a friend or family member to deliver His message to you. Often He whispers, or maybe He nudges us, gives us a feeling that we should do something or go to some particular place or simply stop and listen. Jesus is not limited in any way. We can talk to Jesus any time about anything. We can ask anything. We can tell Him anything. He will not reprimand or judge. To hear Jesus, we must become still, waiting quietly, listening attentively and watching for Jesus's messages for us. There is no right way to use this journal. Simply listen for Jesus and follow His direction. Write about whatever He leads you to write. When you have finished, you will undoubtedly have learned a lot about how Jesus speaks and how best to hear Him.
