Extraordinarily rich in traditions and various plants and animals, the isthmus of Tehuantepec in southeastern Mexico is a unique region that represents a fundamental part of Mexican history and biodiversity. Humans and wildlife have coexisted for centuries; with this, legends have emerged that reflect stories of a life shared between them. This work collects part of that knowledge that, amalgamated with the author's experience and understanding of the protagonists of these short stories, becomes a document of enormous value to know not only the species of wildlife that live in this area of the coast of Oaxaca but also to learn enjoyably about their interactions and the cultural and emotional charge that surrounds their existence.

Extraordinariamente rica en tradiciones tanto como en variedad de plantas y animales, el istmo de Tehuantepec en el sureste de México, es una región única que representa parte fundamental de la historia y biodiversidad mexicana. Seres humanos y vida silvestre han convivido ancestralmente, y con ello han surgido leyendas que reflejan historias de una vida compartida entre unos y otros.
Esta obra recoge parte de ese conocimiento que, amalgamado con la experiencia y entendimiento de la autora sobre los protagonistas de estos cuentos cortos, se convierte en un documento de enorme valor para conocer no solo a las especies de fauna silvestre que viven en esta zona de la costa de Oaxaca, sino también para aprender de forma amena sobre sus interacciones y la carga cultural y emotiva que envuelve a su existencia.
