Word Recognition Grade Four

This book has been written to be used for fourth grade books. It includes work for long and short vowels, vowel digraphs, vowel diphthongs, and double vowels. It also has work with consonant blends, consonant digraphs, the different sounds of the digraph "ch," the different letters that make the "f" sound, different letters that make the "k" sound, and silent letters. In addition to these, it contains work on the soft and hard sounds of "c" and "g." There is work with prefixes, suffixes, plural spellings, possessives, and contractions. Work on prefixes, suffixes, and root words in also included. Work on synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, and homographs is in here too. It contains dictionary and internet skills. Furthermore, it contains stories for reading comprehension that include skills learned in the book. In addition it contains a glossary and the answer key for the teacher. All the stories are true and inspiring to help the student have a desire to accomplish much in life. This book would be good for the homeschool mom as well as the public school teacher to assist the student to do well on standardized tests.
