Publisher's Synopsis
Zombies R A Problem invites the reader into a poetic excursion through the Zombie Apocalypse, only with a twist. We're not talking real zombies, only metaphorical ones. Like zombies, these are the ones who can never get enough. The more they get the more they want. The insidious virus at the center of the Apocalypse perpetually perpetuates a feeling of "never enough..." People seem full, but they feel empty. What we "put in" to try and make ourselves happy, never lasts very long! Especially targeted for a teenage audience, who are just beginning to deal with important moral and ethical questions about the decisions and the choices they make in the world, the author asks them to consider a question: "Is there anything more to life than swallowing what the world gives? Can you learn to think for yourself?" Meant to stimulate deeper conversations and critical thinking about the cultural biases and influences that we and our children face, ZRAP can bring a lighthearted, yet serious, quality to our conversations as we consider what is actually going on "out there" and "in there!"
