Offshore Oil and Gas Industry Books

Blackwell's Aberdeen Bookshop provides an international book supply for customers in the global energy market. This includes technical titles on oil and gas; nuclear energy; and the renewable sector both within the UK and internationally.

We have over forty years experience of providing a bespoke service in supplying published material to energy industry experts. We track down the latest titles required by companies in these sectors ranging from UK government directives, sector specific guidelines to internationally recognized codes of practice such as the IMDG Code or the IATA DGR codes, as well as books on environmental and legal issues. In addition we stock the more traditional HSE, medical or offshore requirements for drilling and maritime activities.

Blackwell's also offer an updating service for customers who are required to hold specific industry standards such as British Standards, API, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, NACE and API standards. We review updated versions once per month and inform these customers of these updates.

Medical Books

Blackwell's Newcastle Bookshop, typical of other large Blackwell's shops, boasts an excellent medical books range, with strong sales of Anatomy and Physiology and Clinical Medicine to undergraduate level. Our professional sales are reflective of the big departments in our local hospitals - so Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Neurology, Dentistry, Radiology, Pathology, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Orthopaedics and Counselling.

Thanks to our ongoing work with the Universities of Northumbria and Teesside we are seeing an increase in interest in nursing books. We have strengthened and developed this area by widening the stock range.

Examination and subject revision books are well represented too, with a very good range of undergraduate, postgraduate and USMLE stock.

In all our business centres in the UK we are uniquely placed to offer excellent service because we work not only closely with local NHS departments and libraries, but also with our local universities via their medical and dentistry schools as well as medical societies and with the Deaneries.

Along with our huge selection of textbooks we keep an extensive range of medical non-book items, including charts, lab coats, stethoscopes, dissection kits, protective eyewear and we are the only stockist in Newcastle of the very popular nurses fob watches.

Blackwell's competitive pricing on all current essential undergraduate textbooks and revision books combined with second hand buy back and friendly, knowledgeable staff puts us well and truly ahead of our rivals.
