We will submit your order for authorisation from your payment provider (i.e. your card company). You will then either receive confirmation of authorisation, in which case your order will be forwarded to our warehouse, or you will receive an email indicating that your authorisation failed, in which case we will not be able to process your order. Please note your card will not be charged until the book is despatched.

Please note that we are unable to accept Electron cards, Amex, cheques, vouchers, book tokens or cash orders as methods of payment online. However, except for Amex, these methods of payment are acceptable for normal transactions in all of our Blackwell shops.
Customers with Blackwell Personal Account Cards can use their account cards to purchase items with Blackwell's Online, but we regret that we are unable to issue new personal accounts over the Internet. Payment Details for Orders Placed with a Blackwell's Shop via Blackwell's Online Micro-sites:
For reservations, payment will be made by the customer in person when collecting the reserved item. We do not need your payment details to process the reservation.
For home delivery orders, payment will be taken by the Blackwell's shop fulfilling the order at the time of despatch. An additional charge - please contact the shop directly for more details - will be added to these orders to cover courier delivery, unless an alternative agreement has been made with the individual shop concerned.
