AHA Syndrome and Cardiovascular Disease

The first section of this title is devoted to an extensive review of the basic concept of AHA-Syndrome, (Anger, Hostile Behaviour, Aggression) its measurement, management, relationships with different kinds of aggression, displaced aggression among adolescents, risk behaviour intervention for aggression in youths and non-violence. The second section involves the relationships of AHA-Syndrome with cardiovascular diseases. Gender differences in anger and hostility expression, trait-displaced aggression, marital relationships, etc. have also been discussed in association with cardiovascular diseases.Other psychological factors like personality type, emotional correlates, psychosocial factors, workplace stress, spiritual perspectives and early risk factors have also been discussed in association with cardiovascular diseases. The third section is devoted to management of cardiovascular diseases. Life style intervention, psychological methods in reducing cardiovascular reactivity, nutrition and food habits in controlling high blood pressure, and therapeutic intervention for cardiovascular heart diseases have been discussed.
