The aim of this book is to critically review different aspects of hysteroscopy with recognised experts from Europe and the United States. The main objective is to provide a balanced view of current clinical opinion and to review the charges and improvements in surgical practice. The book begins with an extensive review of the anatomy, histology, physiology and pathology of the endocervix and uterine cavity. Subsequent chapters deal with disinfection and sterilisation guidelines, the role of ultrasonography, anaesthesia, electrosurgery and instrument usage. Further chapters then deal with specific issues, complications and how to operate on them.
