I donat remember a whole lot about that day, except that it was hot. I do remember hearing the sound of a fly, buzzing away at the window, wanting to escape. I only remember that because it was bothering me. Iam not much of an antique buff; I only went into the store because I was walking by, bored, and the door happened to be open. I donat even remember what it was that caught my eye. I am still surprised I saw it at all. It was sitting on top of a dresser, behind a lamp and a little wicker basket. At first I was going to pick up the wicker basket, maybe it was the smell of the wicker that caught my attention, but once I saw the clock, I had to have it.
