Raymond E. Feist's classic fantasy epic, Magician, has enchanted readers for over twenty years. The revised edition was prepared to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its publication, and incorporates over 15,000 words of text omitted from previous editions. At Crydee, a frontier outpost in the tranquil Kingdom of the Isles, an orphan boy, Pug, is apprenticed to a master magician -- and the destinies of two worlds are changed forever. Suddenly the peace of the Kingdom is destroyed as mysterious alien invaders swarm the land. Pug is swept up into the conflict but for him and his warrior friend, Tomas, an odyssey into the unknown has only just begun. Tomas will inherit a legacy of savage power from an ancient civilization. Pug's destiny is to lead him through a rift in the fabric of space and time to the mastery of the unimaginable powers of a strange new magic.

'Epic scope! fast moving action!vivid imagination' WASHINGTON POST 'tons of intrigue and action' PUBLISHERS WEEKLY When I first read Magician I was completly captivated. I could not and would not put it down. The way Feist brings the story together is a true master at work.Decription of the Elves, Dwarves, and all creatures are strong. I have always been a fantasy nut, and the way some aurthor's decribe fantasy folks irk me. Elves are supposed to be just how Feist portrays them to be, not creatures who are weak and short like gnomes. Also how he brings the Tsurani in through a magical rift from another world and still keep it in the fantasy realm(not Sci-Fi) is artful writting and strong creativity. Never have I loved a character more than Pug of Crydee. When thought him lost in Magician. For a year I refused to read Magician Master, I know sounds silly but Pug seemed to deserve more then what I had thought he got. Over the years I have enjoyed reading all of Raymond Feist books and no matter what happens I always try to get new people to read one. Recently I have gotten me older brother to read Magician and I can't wait for him to finish so I can read it again. Thomas and his adventure within the Mac Mordain tunnels was another favorite part of mine. Bringing in the old ones or Dragon Lords Really brought out legends of old to life. I have always wondered where my life would have been if never reading Magician and I don't want to find out.I love this book and am grateful for the man who writes it .With that said I want to thank you Mr. Feist for inviting me into your world and giving me a new start with ever page. When ever my life gets rough Magician is always there to help me through it.I love all your books,But Magician and a orphan keep boy will be divinley treasured for the rest of my days. - woody moeWhen I read Magician I had not read anything like it before, and I was blown away! It isn't often that I find a book that I absolutely cannot put down, and I immediately had to go out and buy the tirlogy. Not only that but, it was Raymond E Feist that opened to door to a world of books I would not have previously discovered, which for me makes it my favourite book of all time! - Abbie HaydenGripping Fantasy which does not end with the final chapter of this volume. - Mike Farrar Read all reviews (4) Write a review
