Organisational Consulting: A Relational Perspective tells the stories of a group of consultants as they venture into organisations. Unusually, this exploration seeks to relate what really happens in the complex and dynamic world of organisations, rather than to fit the contributors' experiences into a preconceived model. This willingness to share the anxieties and challenges as well as the rewards of a consultant's reality makes this a refreshing and invaluable read. Every one of the contributors is a graduate of the Ashridge Masters in Organisation Consulting. Their stories are accompanied by essays from faculty members, outlining the core perspectives underpinning the programme: theories which view organisations as complex social processes, in which we all participate and where no one person is really in control.
