Powersat

America needs energy, and Dan Randolph is determined to provide it. He dreams of an array of geosynchronous powersats, satellites which would gather solar energy and beam it to generators on Earth - a daring new program. But, after his experimental low-orbit space plane to breaks up on re-entry, he's left on the edge of bankruptcy. Worse, Dan discovers that saboteurs are responsible for knocking the space plane out of the sky...and are willing and able to kill again to keep it grounded.
