Never before have a read a series as compelling as the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. The characters are deeper than many people I know and the Land has a texture and depth that makes me fear for it. Donaldson has a way of suprising me after all these years and I feel safe in the knowledge that he will continue to do so for many more to come. - Marc BarnesComparable to Tolkien's 'Lord Of The Rings' but much more believable by introducing a human from our world that accidentally discovers another time and place within our own. The reader is taken on a magical journey of lands inhabited by all manner of characters good and evil. Each book in the series just leaves you wanting to jump straight on into the next without pause. - Ray Green Write a review
