Absolutely fantastic book. Although set in 1930s USA the storyline is timeless, with moral lessons relevant today. - Gwynneth LewisAs well as being beautiful written, this book is my favourite book of all time for the way it gives me a glimmer of hope that human nature is essentially good. It is uplifting in its postive portrayal of the human spirit in its finest. - Tirion SeymourI have read this book every year for about 26 years, at the beginning of summer to remind me of how wonderful life is when you are young. It captures the innocence of life - wendy anne charlton Read all reviews (8) Write a review
