This is a practice guide with up to fifty case study based assessment questions and answers, designed to assist learners NVQ Assessors and tutors. The key focus is to teach learners at Level 2-3, how to prevent abusive practice in the care sector, how to safeguard adults who may be vulnerable and how to enhance protective practice through communication. It complies with National Minimum Care Standards, human rights and the NOS and sets adult safeguarding into the context of the complex legal framework.
