I first read this book after meeting the author after her talk at the Globe Theatre in London. It would not be an exaggeration to say that she really does speak from the heart, drawing on her own personal experience, providing knowledge and wisdom that benefits us all. She deals with a subject that is tricky at the best of times and helps us understand that such painful and challenging moments can provide an opportunity to share ourselves and make a difference to those we hold dearest. It has inspired me to be far more creative in the way I conduct myself and reminds me daily to reach out to those I treasure, even appreciating the gift of those who are no longer with us.
