Titled -Don't call me Mona Lisa-, the 6- x 9- cover, portrays appropriation art of the Prado Museum -copy- of the -Mona Lisa - created around 1503 - 1519. In 2011, Conservators removed the black overpaint to reveal a perfect -copy- of the Mona Lisa. Bruno Mottin, the head conservator at the Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musees de France, believes the Prado -copy- was painted by one of Leonardo's two pupils and most likely Salai who lived with da Vinci from the time he was 10 years old. In his Notebooks Da Vinci described Salai as a thief, liar, obstinate and glutton. However, upon his death, Da Vinci left Salai his property including the real Mona Lisa which Salai sold to King Francis I of France. That being said assuming Salai, who was according to Da Vinci a theif, sold the king Original Mona Lisa. As is, Prado Mona Lisa is in much better condition than on the -original- and Lisa herself looks considerably younger without the yellow cracked varnish that darkens and muddies her facial features in the -original-.
