Publisher's Synopsis

My father, George Higgs, lived to be 109 years old, and that life was amazingly well-lived. He lived through two world wars, the Great Depression, and more. He started writing - both prose and poetry - after he retired, and everyone who read his writings said he had a real way with words. He wrote an autobiography when he was 102, and another, not quite finished, after that. He used computers and an iPad when he was well past 100 years old. It was only his failing eyesight that stopped him. I believe his writings deserve a wider audience. He has interesting things to say about the many events during his life, and, to add to the reader's experience, I have added images and other annotations to help explain the context of the day. I hope it provides an interesting historical commentary of the past 100 years or so.
