When EnormoMart opens one of its gargantuan stores in the town of Yukon, Oklahoma, everyone is excited about it . . . except for Mehitabel, the cash register in Lane Number Two. The machine feels she should be destined for greater things than ringing up socks, left-handed silver plated pickle forks, smokeless tobacco, and syrup, venting her frustrations to her fellow machines, some of whom feel the same way. Eventually, Mehitabel leads her fellow conspirators in a revolt, all hoping to get transferred to more exotic locations. But in doing so, she targets one specific cashier, doing her level best to ruin the man's life while attempting to improve her lot. Yet no one believes Rickey when he says the register has it in for him, adding to the man's frustration. And from there the ball starts rolling. Toss in the world's toughest janitor, some rather unusual items, and the story's just getting started as we investigate EVIL AT ENORMOMART.
