Hoxton Hall has been called one of London's best kept secrets: a perfectly preserved mid-Victorian music hall in the East End of London of that has been in continuous use as a public venue since it opened in 1863. Between 2012-2015 Hoxton Hall underwent a major restoration to return it to its original condition. Hoxton Hall celebrates the hall's reopening, charting its many different guises over a century and a half of activity. The ten chapters of the book are written by an array of scholars specializing in architectural history, theatre history, social history and oral history.
