Publisher's Synopsis
Wallows is a journalist. His marriage ends when his wife, Poppet, becomes obsessed with the painter Henry Fluck. This story surrounds Fluck's death, in suspicious circumstances, after a houseparty during which Poppet and others become subjects for Fluck's depiction of the English nude.
