Patrick Brennan, the main character in the previous three books of the Seeds Quartet, The Seminary Seeds, The Military Seeds, and The Education Seeds, is again on the road to discover meaning in his life. Patrick has just retired from 40 years of teaching and is deciding what to do with his time. He has always lived a life of service as an altar boy and seminarian, an Air Force Linguist, and a teacher.
